Make It Routine

Many pets feel most secure when they’re on a steady schedule. Fluffy will sort out her own napping agenda, so you don’t have to worry about that. However, you should keep your furry buddy on a stable routine for meals and playtime. Make kitty playtime a part of your usual winding down time. Just put a toy or laser pointer near your chair or sofa, and incorporate this into TV time.

Let Fluffy ‘Win’

Your furry buddy may actually get depressed and discouraged if she can never catch her prey. Make sure to let her get that catnip mouse or feather toy. (Fluffy will of course never get that elusive red dot, but she hasn’t given up yet.)

Discourage Rough Play

Just don’t let your feline friend play with anything that isn’t safe. That list includes small or sharp items, anything with ropes or cords, and plastic bags and wrappers.
