December 4 is National Cookie Day! While we’re munching on tasty goodness, there’s no reason our fur babies can’t join in. Here’s a healthy and yummy cookie recipe for making dog cookies.
What you’ll need:
- 2 1/2 cups flour (If your pooch has an allergy to grain, you can substitute coconut flour)
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 can pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1/8 cup water
- Dash of cinnamon
- Some parchment paper (helps prevent sticking), a baking sheet, and festive cookie cutters
How to make ’em:
Using a mixer, blend the ingredients together until crumbly. The mixture will be a bit dry.
Place the ball down onto the parchment paper and gently roll it to about 1/4 inch thick.
Using the cookie cutters, cut out our shapes and arrange them on the baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees until hard (or about 30 minutes). Cool and let your pooch have at it!
